Dan and Jeanette open the show with a short discussion about how today’s interview helped inspire Jeanette to pull off the road to write. They share stories about drinking Gin, jerk chicken, and foil line pockets. Then, it’s into Dan’s interview with Gwendolyn. A lot of ground is covered including: what Gwendolyn is working on (which includes a novel), the reason she loves the short form, hating typos and ways to avoid them, where to start your story, working with her illustrator husband, her favorite stories, the submission tools she uses, and her advice on getting published.

Daniel Foytik is the current host and producer of four podcasts including The Wicked Library and The Lift. Daniel is a writer and storyteller who explores his love story and storytelling in all its forms through, writing, narration, audio production, and podcasting. His original podcast 9th Story Podcast features interviews and discussions on story.
Daniel will be making his first foray into the world of audiobook narration in the upcoming audio editions of an anthology from Shadows at the Door, edited by Mark Nixon, and a novel, Carrot Field, by Vincent Asaro.

Jeanette is an artist, first and foremost. While she expresses herself through many different mediums, at the core she is obsessed with a good story which made her a perfect choice to co-host Season 4 of the 9th Story Podcast.
Jeanette is constantly celebrating all forms of story-telling, and exploring new ways to share new tales. Along with her partner she runs the YouTube Channel “Haunting TV“, where they explore all things horror. They post videos of their own creation as well as let’s plays, and reviews for films, books, and comics.
When she’s not on camera for their channel or podcasting, she’s blogging. Jeanette writes on HorrorMade.com about horror and on jeanette-art.blogspot.com about her adventures in the world of art and design.
