Greg Shaffer visits the 9th Story.
Aside from doing funny impersonations and annoying Al on The Caveman Mafia Podcast, Greg (aka Zoltaire) is a graphic designer, artist and one time painter of painted over murals of the band Enigma and trees. He joins Jeanette and Dan to offer a unique perspective on Art, Branding, and Design – all powerful forms of storytelling.
Indie Creatives often say they want to learn how to use consistent branding to ensure their work reaches a wider audience, so the discussion focuses on this topic. We also discuss the pain of having your work set aside or destroyed. At the end of the show, we do silly voices, read a Paula Dean recipe for crab balls, and remember Morgan Freeman was Easy Reader on the Electric Company.

Daniel Foytik is the current host and producer of four podcasts including The Wicked Library and The Lift. Daniel is a writer and storyteller who explores his love story and storytelling in all its forms through, writing, narration, audio production, and podcasting. His original podcast 9th Story Podcast features interviews and discussions on story.
Daniel will be making his first foray into the world of audiobook narration in the upcoming audio editions of an anthology from Shadows at the Door, edited by Mark Nixon, and a novel, Carrot Field, by Vincent Asaro.
Daniel’s production entity— 9th Story Studios — creates:
- The Wicked Library (with Executive Producer Nelson W. Pyles)
- 9th Story Podcast (a discussion show devoted to exploring story and storytelling in all forms)
- The Lift (with Executive producer Cynthia Lowman)
Jeanette is an artist, first and foremost. While she expresses herself through many different mediums, at the core she is obsessed with a good story which made her a perfect choice to co-host Season 4 of the 9th Story Podcast.
Jeanette is constantly celebrating all forms of story-telling, and exploring new ways to share new tales. Along with her partner she runs the YouTube Channel “Haunting TV“, where they explore all things horror. They post videos of their own creation as well as let’s plays, and reviews for films, books, and comics.
When she’s not on camera for their channel or podcasting, she’s blogging. Jeanette writes on HorrorMade.com about horror and on jeanette-art.blogspot.com about her adventures in the world of art and design.
